Meet the Founder
Hope Colling is an Interior Designer and Field Stylist and a registered member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She cut her teeth in the design space in 2009 when her iconic home in California was featured in the popular design blog Apartment Therapy, and subsequently became one of the most popular images on Pinterest that year. This emboldened Hope to expand her existing business- a luxury lifestyle boutique, to include full scale interior design and build services. Her creative intuition and understanding of just how to layer color, pattern and texture- combined with a keen sense of placement, have contributed to her success as a designer.
In addition to her tenure as a Visual Merchandising Director for Anthropologie, Hope has worked on design projects for HGTV and the DIY network. Her work has been featured in Elle Decor, Dwell Magazine, Coastal Living, Better Homes and Gardens, The New York Times, Glamour, Entrepreneur and Forbes. In 2018, Domino magazine named her as one of the Top Ten Tastemakers of the Year.
For the past several years Hope has been living on a small island in the Bahamas, working remotely for leading e-design start-ups Modsy and Havenly. Without ever meeting clients face to face or doing a single site visit, she has an astonishing 591 residential and commercial projects to her credit. This atypical designer experience has afforded Hope the rare opportunity to design homes for a wide breadth of clients- each with unique tastes, homes, timeframes, cultures and budgets. Its also allowed her to do a nonpartisan deep dive into the pain points surrounding online design, and unlock a formula for success no other design firm can offer.
In 2023, Hope enrolled in the New York School of Art and Design to further her education in architectural planning and CAD drawing. The online curriculum allows her to remain on the island of Elbow Cay (in a place called Hope Town, if you can believe that!), with her husband Pete and a house full of rescue animals.
